Last January 19, 2021, Andrés Alvarez Kuri, was appointed by José Luis Vargas Valdez, presiding magistrate of the Superior Chamber of the Electoral Tribunal of the Federal Judicial Power, as the new head of the Administrative Secretary of the TEPJF.

Andrés Álvarez Kuri is a former student of the bachelor’s in public accountancy, and the bachelor’s in administration of ITAM; before entering the TEPJF, he served as director of the Institute to Give Back to the People the Stolen (INDEP).

Previously, during 2006 and 2015, he held the General Directorate of Bonds of the National Commission for Human Rights (CNDH). Later during 2016 and 2019 he served as Central Administrator of Internal Tax Evaluation and Administrator of Evaluation Coordination in the SAT.
